My Story

Much like my professional life, I’m a creative at heart, with multiple projects spinning at all times. I love cooking, gardening, crafting; incorporating all three, now that’s something special. Though I do love the gratification of a finished product, the process is just as fulfilling.

Staying active grounds me, through organized fitness classes, paddleboard sessions, regular walks and more. I might crave a lazy morning from time to time, but once I’m out in the fresh air, getting my body moving, my mind follows suit, recharged and ready to face the day’s challenges.

I’m an extroverted introvert. I love organizing community events, welcoming friends for dinner parties and hosting morning yoga sessions, but I’m also just as happy to spend the afternoon getting my hands dirty in the garden while binging a true crime podcast, dragging out every craft supply I own after inspiration from an Instagram post, or planted firmly in a good book with my millionth mug of coffee.

I also have an insatiable appetite for travel. In fact, in our early 30s, my husband and I sold everything we owned and bought a 42-foot sailboat, cruising the Caribbean with our daughter for the next six years before settling down on the tiny island of Grenada. I documented our sailing life through a now-sunsetted blog. Browse it here, if you’re curious.

The ability to not just visit other countries, but immerse myself in the culture and “do life” there, gave me a broader view of the world that shapes all I do. It also helped me develop a deeper appreciation for establishing daily and weekly routines, finding a healthy work-life balance, and developing a home base that doesn’t change with the tides.

And, I’m a mom – one of the hardest and most rewarding, never-ending,  always changing, awesome (in the truest sense of the word) jobs in the world.
